About the Facilitator:
Ivan Wanis Ruiz is not your typical teacher. He is a guest speaker and trainer at several universities and top employers across Canada. Ivan was the official spokesperson for the PanAm Games in 2015 and the Invictus Games 2017 and has been a guest lecturer at UBC Sauder School of Business for 8 years. Ivan, who has worked in finance, sales, marketing and HR, and owned two successful businesses, is also an instructor of Business Communication at the University of Toronto's School of Continuing Studies.
Ivan is the author of "They Don't Have to be Naked: A new approach to public speaking" and is the creator of Communication Strategies for a new Virtual Age online course with Coursera. When he is not speaking and teaching, Ivan moonlights as a salsa dance instructor.
